Collect and query metrics with Prometheus: You install Prometheus via the Prometheus Operator and kube-prometheus-stack, write PromQL queries for instant, range, and vector queries, and instrument your own applications with custom metrics
Centralize logs with Loki and Grafana Alloy: You configure Grafana Alloy (the successor to Promtail) and analyze log data with LogQL, from simple filters to complex aggregations
Build dashboards, alerting, and SLOs: You create informative Grafana dashboards, configure the Prometheus Alertmanager, and define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) with concrete tools
All exercises take place in the DevNinjas Dojo, where each participant works on their own dedicated Kubernetes cluster. As a next step, we recommend the Kubernetes Security Workshop (DW7) or the Helm Workshop (DW9).
